If you’ve been following this Critical Research Journal then you will know that my younger brother passed away unexpectedly a few months ago. And now, as the year ends, my Papa is in palliative care as his life comes to a close.

This week I’ve been with him and my Mum and in order to relieve my pain, and somehow mark the momentousness of all of this in the only way I can, I’ve kept taking photographs of things that have felt important.

I’ve also included some images taken a few weeks ago on a visit. At the time Papa was still at home, but had just had his cancer diagnosis.
